During our frequent work trips to Williams Lake, we've explored many dining options around town, and this establishment has truly become our absolute favorite. The dumplings here are unbelievably juicy and packed with flavor, while the chow mein is wonderfully savory and delicious without ever feeling greasy. We also found the black tea lemonade to be perfectly balanced, offering a delightful taste that isn't overly sweet. Moreover, the gentleman who served us, whom we believe to be the owner, was exceptionally kind and welcoming. We are certainly looking forward to visiting again and again.

I truly wanted to embrace this spot. The ambiance immediately draws you in with its cozy, inviting warmth, and the staff consistently prove to be both welcoming and prompt. Their menu boasts an impressive array of dishes, promising much variety. However, my initial culinary choices left me underwhelmed: the Mexican wrap was notably dry, requiring a generous sprinkle of salt to become palatable. The daily 'cream' of vegetable soup, unfortunately, was quite bland, and even seasoning couldn't rescue its flavor profile. My grilled cheese arrived with an almost burnt exterior, the bitter charring of the bread overpowering the modest amount of cheese within. And the side salad was practically swimming in what tasted like a generic grocery-store balsamic vinaigrette, making it difficult to enjoy. Despite these initial setbacks, the homemade iced tea and coffee were delightful, which encouraged me to plan a return, albeit with tempered expectations, to explore other menu items. My subsequent visit for breakfast, however, was a revelation; I savored one of the finest Eggs Benedict I've ever had, especially their superb rendition featuring local smoked salmon. That experience certainly earned them a significant bump in my estimation.

Our recent family lunch outing was an absolute delight, and I was thrilled that all three of my kids found dishes they truly loved. We enjoyed a wonderful selection, including the savory beef and kale dumplings, the delicious shrimp and pork dumplings, perfectly prepared fried rice, a comforting wonton soup, and delightful custard buns. Honestly, every single dish we tried was incredibly delicious.

I've definitely noticed an improvement here! I'm genuinely delighted that dim sum has been added to the menu offerings, which is a fantastic addition. It's also a huge relief to find the operating hours are much more predictable these days; it was quite a challenge to visit previously when their opening times felt so uncertain. My only suggestion would be for them to really make the interior their own, as it still strongly carries the aesthetic of the former Gecko Tree, and a fresh, distinct vibe would truly complete the experience.

Our journey to Williams Lake for the annual medieval market led us straight to this spot after a long drive. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff were incredibly sharp, getting us settled swiftly and with great attention. Undecided on what to order, I took the server's suggestion for the BLT, usually a dependable choice. When it landed, I was genuinely taken aback by its colossal proportions, even letting out an audible gasp. Initially, its sheer size made me wary, thinking it might be a case of quantity over quality, but a closer inspection quickly dispelled that notion. The bread was wonderfully thick and appeared freshly baked in-house, and it was absolutely bursting with bacon – truly a 'Ron Swanson' amount of premium, clearly not-from-the-supermarket bacon. I honestly only managed to conquer half of it, with the remainder barely fitting into the takeaway container. My advice: arrive with a serious appetite or plan to split your meal. And whatever you do, make sure to order the hot buttered rum; it was, without a doubt, the finest I've ever tasted.

We had a truly fantastic experience here. The staff were wonderfully friendly, offering service that felt genuinely welcoming rather than like a sales pitch. As for the food, it was absolutely amazing. We ordered three distinct types of dumplings for our table, and each variety proved to be utterly delicious.

I only wish I had discovered this place much sooner! Our recent lunch visit was fantastic, starting with a truly lovely jasmine tea. The eighteen fried pork and shrimp dumplings were, without a doubt, the finest I've ever tasted. We also thoroughly enjoyed the three substantial chicken legs, which were served with a separate, customizable spicy seasoning. We're already planning our next trip back for more delicious food.

I consistently receive wonderful service and find the food to be absolutely delicious. Every time I'm passing through Williams Lake, I make sure to stop in and try something new from the menu, and I'm always thoroughly impressed. It's also worth mentioning how genuinely nice the owner and staff are.

My wait for a single takeout order of fried rice stretched to an astonishing 45 minutes. After paying $19, I was dismayed to find the portion size was a meager 250 grams upon opening the container. The vegetables mixed in with the rice had a distinctly sour taste, and the eggs were unappetizingly brown. It goes without saying that I have no intention of returning to this establishment. To be clear, I am absolutely certain this was the correct restaurant; I observed two other patrons, who had placed their orders concurrently with mine, receive and finish their meals entirely while I was still waiting for my food. Furthermore, my receipt confirms I was indeed overcharged for this disappointing experience.
